Job summary

Staffline is recruiting an FLT Operative for a busy chilled production site in Wrexham. The role involves feeding the factory with ingredients and packaging, using Reach and Counterbalance forklifts, scanning with handheld devices, and counting goods to exact codes.

You must be able to work in cold stores at minus 5 degrees and maintain high accuracy and pace. This is a full-time, 4 on 4 off position (6am–6pm or 6pm–6am) with on-site parking, free food and drinks, and full training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in reach truck and counterbalance operation.
• Ability to read labels and codes accurately.
• Physically fit for bending, lifting and standing long shifts.
• Licence preferred but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Supply factory with ingredients and packaging stock.
• Operate Reach and Counterbalance FLTs safely.
• Use handheld scanners or RF guns to pick accurately.
• Read pick lists and follow SOPs with speed and accuracy.

FLT Operative for our client, a professional yet friendly company who specialises in making and developing chilled meals for the top UK supermarkets,

making over 3.7million chilled meals every week.

Staffline is recruiting FLT Operatives in

Wrexham.

The rate of pay is:

• Days £13.65 per hour
• Nights £14.72 per hour

Overtime is available and is paid at:

• Days £20.48 per hour
• Nights £22.08 per hour

This is a full-time role, and the hours of work are:

• 4 on 4 off, 6am to 6pm
• 4 on 4 off, 6pm to 6am

Your Time at Work

The responsibilities of a FLT Operative, your duties will include:

• Supplying the factory with ingredients and packaging, Reach truck and Counterbalance FLT's
• Using handheld scanners or RF guns
• Reading labels and codes accurately
• Counting quantities correctly
• Working with units, boxes, cases, pallets
• Understanding pick lists, handheld scanner prompts
• Following standard operating procedures
• Working at a good pace without sacrificing accuracy
• Physically fit as bending, lifting, and reaching is required
• Using correct lifting techniques
• Following warehouse safety rules
