Job summary

Staffline is recruiting an FLT Operative in Wrexham to join a professional, friendly team manufacturing chilled meals for top UK supermarkets. You will operate Reach and Counterbalance forklifts, use scanners, and handle packing and ingredient flow through the facility.

The role is full-time with 4 on 4 off shifts (6am–6pm or 6pm–6am). Training is provided, and overtime pay is available at enhanced rates.

Qualifications

• Able to work in cold stores, minus 5 degrees.
• Reliable and hardworking with a responsible attitude.
• Licence for Reach truck and Counterbalance forklift required or training provided.

Responsibilities

• Supply the factory with ingredients and packaging using Reach/Counterbalance FLTs.
• Use handheld scanners or RF devices and read labels accurately.
• Count quantities and check for discrepancies and correct handling of pallets.

Great opportunity to work as an FLT Operative for our client, a professional yet friendly company who specialises in making and developing chilled meals for the top UK supermarkets, making over 3.7million chilled meals every week.

Staffline is recruiting FLT Operatives in Wrexham.

The rate of pay is:

• Days £13.65 per hour
• Nights £14.72 per hour

Overtime is available and is paid at:

• Days £20.48 per hour
• Nights £22.08 per hour

This is a full-time role, and the hours of work are:

• 4 on 4 off, 6am to 6pm
• 4 on 4 off, 6pm to 6am

Your Time at Work

The responsibilities of a FLT Operative, your duties will include:

• Supplying the factory with ingredients and packaging, Reach truck and Counterbalance FLT's
• Using handheld scanners or RF guns
• Reading labels and codes accurately
• Spotting discrepancies (wrong item, damaged packaging)
• Counting quantities correctly
• Working with units, boxes, cases, pallets
• Understanding pick lists, handheld scanner prompts
• Following standard operating procedures
• Working at a good pace without sacrificing accuracy
• Physically fit as bending, lifting, and reaching is required
• Using correct lifting techniques
• Following warehouse safety rules

Reach / Counterbalance licence is required to undertake all tasks candidates with a current licence preferred, but training can be provided.
