Job summary

Newly Weds® Foods is seeking a reliable FLT Driver to join our FMCG manufacturing team, with night shifts Sunday–Wednesday, 6pm–6am or 6am–6pm. You will safely operate a forklift, receipt, store and locate materials, and support production to meet targets while maintaining hygiene and GMP standards.

This role requires attentiveness, strong numeracy, and the ability to work independently as well as with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Valid Reach Truck FLT Licence (preferred).
• Experience operating FLT in FMCG/manufacturing.
• Strong health and safety and hygiene knowledge.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and numeracy.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible, reliable and motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to meet deadlines and performance targets.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift truck to move products efficiently and securely.
• Receipt, storage and location of materials within systems and procedures.
• Complete required documentation clearly and on time.
• Support production operations, including covering other roles.
• Ensure work follows company policies and safe practices.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, product protection, and GMP.
• Follow HACCP, quality and process standards.
• Assist with stock counts and material management (weighing/identification).
• Communicate effectively during shift handovers.
• Contribute to targets including output, efficiency and waste reduction.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Participate in training, development and continuous improvement.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and safety-focused FLT Driver to join our team., working on various different shifts. This is a key role within our operation, responsible for the accurate movement, storage and handling of materials in line with company procedures.

You will play an important part in maintaining efficient production flow, ensuring stock accuracy, and supporting the wider team to meet performance and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift truck to move products efficiently and securely

• Accurately receipt, store and locate materials within systems and procedures

• Complete all required documentation clearly and on time

• Support production operations where required, including covering other roles

• Ensure all work is carried out in line with company policies and safe working practices

• Maintain high standards of hygiene, product protection, and GMP

• Follow HACCP, quality and process standards at all times

• Assist with stock counts and material management (including weighing and identification)

• Communicate effectively during shift handovers

• Contribute to team targets including output, efficiency, and waste reduction

Person Specification

• Valid Reach Truck FLT Licence (preferred).

• Previous experience operating FLT within a FMCG or manufacturing environment.

• Strong understanding of health & safety and hygiene standards.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Flexible, reliable, and motivated with a strong work ethic.

• Ability to meet deadlines and performance targets

• Fixed, consistent night shift pattern (Sunday–Wednesday)
