Job summary

Proman Recruitment is seeking FLT Operators (Counterbalance) for our client in St Helens (WA9). This long-term role offers guaranteed temp-to-perm after 12 weeks, with AM or PM shifts and a rate of £13.40 per hour.

You will move pallets, check loads, perform safety checks, and support loading/unloading. Applicants must hold a valid FLT Counterbalance license and a driving license, plus good numeracy and literacy. Proman offers progression opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility.
• Stack goods in the correct storage bays, following stock control instructions.
• Check loads are secure.
• Stack empty pallets.
• Perform daily equipment checks, e.g. recharge truck battery.
• Help load and unload trucks by hand where necessary.

Counterbalance Drivers needed

Various Shifts available: Either AM shift 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm Monday-Friday (Friday Early finish)

Rate of pay:£13.40/h

Role Duties:

• As a FLT operator, your main duties would include:
• moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
• stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following stock control instructions
• checking loads are secure
• stacking empty pallets
• performing daily equipment checks, for example recharging the truck\'s battery (if the truck is electric)
• helping to load and unload trucks by hand where necessary

The Candidate:

To be successful, you need to:

• have a valid license/certificate to operate an FLT COUNTERBALANCE
• have a valid Driving License
• be punctual and reliable
• be able to organise and prioritise workload
• have good numeracy and literacy skills
