Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a busy manufacturing site in the UK. This is long-term ongoing work in a supportive and friendly environment.

Key duties include operating FLT Counterbalance trucks, loading/unloading, stocking lines, goods-in/out, stock checks, and using scanners where applicable. The role requires a valid FLT Counterbalance licence and a safety-conscious approach.

Qualifications

• Valid, in-date FLT Counterbalance licence (essential).
• Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Operating FLT Counterbalance trucks safely in line with site procedures.
• Loading and unloading deliveries, including raw materials and finished goods.
• Transporting materials between warehouse, storage areas, and production lines.
• Ensuring production lines are stocked to avoid downtime.
• Stacking and storing pallets in designated locations, including racking systems.
• Carrying out daily FLT checks and reporting defects.
• Assisting with goods-in and goods-out processes, including paperwork checks.
• Using scanners or basic systems to track stock movements.
• Supporting stock control, including pallet counts and location checks.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Working to targets and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Duties May Include:

• Operating FLT Counterbalance trucks safely in line with site procedures.
• Loading and unloading deliveries, including raw materials and finished goods.
• Transporting materials between warehouse, storage areas, and production lines.
• Ensuring production lines are consistently stocked to avoid downtime.
• Stacking and storing pallets in designated locations, including racking systems.
• Carrying out daily FLT checks and reporting any defects.
• Assisting with goods-in and goods-out processes, including checking deliveries against paperwork.
• Using scanners or basic systems to track stock movements (where applicable).
• Supporting stock control, including pallet counts and location checks.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Working to targets and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Hours of Work (Rotating Double Days):

• Earlies: Monday to Thursday: 5:40am to 1:50pm and Friday: 5:40am to 11:30am
• Lates: Monday to Thursday: 1:40pm to 9:50pm and Friday: 11:20am to 5:10pm

Pay Rates:

• £12.71 per hour (first 12 weeks)
• Increasing to £14.73 per hour after 12 weeks
