Job summary

Swift Temps South West is recruiting an FLT Counterbalance Driver for a builders merchant client in Bideford. The role is a temp-to-perm opportunity with an ASAP start available for the right candidate.

Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, and the role includes loading/unloading, stock movement, and order preparation in a busy yard environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence essential.
• Previous counterbalance forklift experience required.
• Yard/warehouse/builders merchant experience advantageous.
• Good awareness of Health & Safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload deliveries.
• Move and organise stock in yard and warehouse.
• Prepare customer orders.
• Support general yard and warehouse duties as required.
• Work in a busy builders merchant environment.

Swift Temps South West is recruiting an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver for an established builders merchant client based in Bideford. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with an ASAP start available for the right candidate.

The Role:

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Moving and organising stock within the yard and warehouse
• Preparing customer orders
• Supporting general yard and warehouse duties when required
• Working in a busy builders merchant environment
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am5:00pm
• £13.75 per hour

What Were Looking For:

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence essential
• Previous Counterbalance Forklift experience
• Previous yard, warehouse or builders merchant experience would be advantageous
• Good awareness of Health & Safety
• Reliable and hardworking
• Comfortable with manual handling and working outdoors when required
• Available to start ASAP
