Job summary

The Best Connection Group is recruiting an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver for a busy operation at Wilton International, Redcar. You will operate a counterbalance forklift, move pallets, and ensure accurate documentation and safe handling of goods. Ongoing assignments with potential temp-to-perm opportunities are available.

Working hours are 8am–4pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime available. A valid FLT counterbalance licence and at least 2 years’ experience are essential; a UK driving

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (essential).
• Previous FLT operating experience (min 2 years essential).
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
• Lift palletised material from the production line and stack it in storage areas, ensuring accurate documentation and safety/best practice.
• Move stock throughout the warehouse and storage areas.
• Load and unload vehicles and cages.
• Ensure goods are handled correctly and stored safely.
• Follow all site health and safety procedures.
• Carry out housekeeping duties to keep the terminal tidy.

FLT Counterbalance Driver

Location: Wilton International, Redcar

Pay: £13.95 per hour - overtime at x1.2 for the first 2 hours, x1.33 after 2 hours. x1.5 on Saturday, x2.0 on Sundays

Hours: 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. Overtime available.

Please note: A Drug & Alcohol test is required for this role. Must be able to provide x2 working references.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a busy operation based at Wilton International. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking candidate looking for ongoing work with a temp to perm available.

The Role

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Lifting palletised material from the production line and stacking it in storage areas in the yard paying particular attention to the documentation, yard conditions & adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Moving stock throughout the warehouse and storage areas
• Loading and unloading vehicles and cages
• Ensuring goods are handled correctly and stored safely
• Following all site health and safety procedures
• Housekeeping duties, such as blowing, sweeping & collecting spilled pellet / rubbish to keep the terminal as tidy as is reasonably practicable

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (essential)
• Previous FLT operating experience (min 2 years essential)
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
• Double Handler experience ideal but not essential
• Flexible attitude to working, occasional overtime requirements & varying shifts
• Clean, full UK driving licence desirable but not essential
• Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test
