PerkinElmer, Inc. in Cambridge seeks an Analytical Technician specializing in Flow Cytometry to support daily operations and instrument readiness at a client site. You will assist scientists, perform routine maintenance, and help train new staff in basic flow cytometry techniques.

The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic laboratory environment. A biological science background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Science or related field is required.
• 2+ years' experience with flow cytometry in a laboratory environment.
• Experience with MS Office: Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with immunology techniques such as cell culture and counting.
• Experience with FlowJo and FCS Express is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot instrument issues to minimize downtime and maintain workflow.
• Support and collaborate on basic assisted sorting experiments and automation.
• Manage daily startup/shutdown procedures to calibrate instruments.
• Perform routine maintenance and schedule preventative maintenance.
• Maintain detailed records of instrument utilization and results in CMMS.
• Assist training initiatives for new staff and junior scientists.
• Ensure safety procedures and PPE usage are followed.
• Provide technician support within the site technical team.
