Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a General Lab Equipment Engineer to join our Cambridge-based team at a client site. You will manage daily instrument support for laboratory equipment and collaborate with PKI Planners, TLS Engineers and Lead Scheduler to deliver high-quality service.

The role requires experience with laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, incubators and balances, plus strong communication and safety practices. Site-based five days a week in Cambridge, UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in Laboratory Instrument Support across a wide range of equipment.
• Strong relationship management and communication skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of EHS procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure prompt, flexible, customer-focused equipment support while maintaining compliance with statutory, regulatory and engineering standards.
• Diagnose faults on complex equipment and systems using multidisciplinary support to find solutions.
• Plan and carry out maintenance and commissioning work safely to minimize disruption.
• Source components and services using technical knowledge.
• Create, manage and review service reports and documentation.
