Job summary

Luso, part of MJMK Restaurants, is seeking a General Manager to lead it on Charlotte Street, London. The role is floor-based, full-time, and responsible for guest experience, team leadership, and site performance at a two-Michelin-starred venue.

You will work closely with the head chef and wine team to enhance dining and service standards while driving revenue and cost control in a premium setting. This is a hands-on leadership role in a high-standard operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 to 4 years' experience as a General Manager.
• Proven track record of managing quality restaurants (£70K+ net per week average).
• Obsession with guest experience and leadership by example.
• Empathic, respected people leadership that builds a positive team culture.
• Diligent custodianship of the site with impeccable standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the restaurant from the floor every service, setting the standard for guest experience and consistency.
• Take full accountability for the site, including guest experience, the team, standards and the P&L.
• Recruit, train and develop the team across all areas of the restaurant.
• Manage Heads of Department and ensure seamless operation in your absence.
• Drive revenue through covers, spend per head, events and local engagement.
• Manage labour, gross profit and all controllable costs with precision.
• Maintain impeccable standards across property, facilities and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with head chef and wine team to develop food and drink offers.
• Identify improvements and implement solutions across guest experience, people and operations.
