Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd is seeking an experienced Floor Layer to service domestic properties in Brent and the surrounding areas, with a focus on cap and cove flooring, repairs, and high-quality finishes.

You will work in partnership with a local council, serving social housing properties and taking part in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency repairs. The role offers a temporary to permanent opportunity and a pathway to long-term employment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Floor Layer, especially with cap and cove flooring.
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Experience in social housing or domestic maintenance.
• Ability to complete flooring repairs and installations to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out cap and cove flooring repairs and installation on domestic properties
• Preparing floors and ensuring surfaces are suitable for flooring works
• Completing associated flooring works where required
• Providing a high level of customer service to residents
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and efficiently
• Participating in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency repairs

Floor Layer - Cap & Cove

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Brent, NW London

Salary: £38,202 per annum

A Floor Layer is required, working for a reputable local contractor in partnership with a local council. The role will involve carrying out flooring repairs and maintenance works on domestic properties. Candidates should be experienced in working with cap and cove flooring and capable of completing associated flooring works to a high standard. Previous social housing or domestic maintenance experience is essential.

Daily responsibilities

• Carrying out cap and cove flooring repairs and installation on domestic properties
• Preparing floors and ensuring surfaces are suitable for flooring works
• Completing associated flooring works where required
• Providing a high level of customer service to residents
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and efficiently
• Participating in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency repairs

Requirements of a Floor Layer

• Must have proven experience as a Floor Layer, particularly with cap and cove flooring
• Must have a full UK manual driving licence
• Must have previous social housing or domestic maintenance experience
• Must be able to complete flooring repairs and installations to a high standard
