Flood Risk Consultant

Minimum Requirements
  1. Relevant Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, or equivalent
  2. Chartered Member or working towards chartered membership of a professional institution such as CIWEM, ICE, APM, etc.
  3. Technical experience in UK flood risk legislation and planning standards
  4. Experience developing business cases for flood risk management schemes, aiming to secure FDGiA funding
  5. Knowledge of hydraulic modelling (Flood Modeller TUFLOW) or drainage modelling software (MicroDrainage or Causeway Flow) and fundamental hydraulic design principles
  6. Experience or understanding of project management principles for project delivery
  7. Experience working with public sectors like LLFA’s and/or EA
  8. Experience with planning applications and awareness of LLFA duties
  9. Experience working in client-facing environments, with strong relationship-building and stakeholder influence skills
  10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  11. A full UK driving licence
  12. Chartered Membership of relevant professional organizations
