Flood Risk Consultant

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  1. Relevant Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, or equivalent
  2. Chartered Member or working towards chartered membership of a professional institution such as CIWEM, ICE, APM, etc.
  3. Technical experience in UK flood risk legislation and planning standards
  4. Experience in developing business cases for flood risk management schemes, including securing FDGiA funding
  5. Knowledge of hydraulic modelling (Flood Modeller TUFLOW) or drainage modelling software (MicroDrainage or Causeway Flow) and hydraulic design principles
  6. Project management experience or understanding
  7. Experience working with public sectors such as LLFA’s and/or EA
  8. Experience on planning applications and LLFA duties awareness
  9. Client-facing experience with stakeholder relationship skills
  10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  11. Full UK driving licence
  12. Chartered Membership of relevant professional organization
