Due to strong and sustained growth in our Sustainable Water Management business, we are seeking new colleagues with experience in Flood Risk Assessments to join our team of 350 water consultancy and engineering professionals. Applicants are invited to enhance our technical capabilities in water environment assessment to lead a range of projects, including planning and DCO applications for major infrastructure development.

Our Bristol team consists of 15 water environment and flood risk professionals working collaboratively with regional and national teams across the UK. We have a portfolio of major infrastructure projects and clients such as National Grid, Network Rail, and National Highways, supporting local authority clients with flood investigations, risk management strategies, and planning reviews.

Your Role...

We are looking for a Consultant experienced in delivering flood risk assessment projects to work on complex projects for various clients. You will contribute to projects involving flood risk modelling, Water EIA, and flood management, and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

1. Undertake project tasks such as flood risk assessments, site surveys, and project management activities.
2. Collaborate effectively with the project team and support junior members.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in flood risk assessment, modelling, and related consultancy work.
• Knowledge of UK flood risk regulations and planning processes.
• Strong communication skills and some project management experience.

Qualifications

• BSc or higher in environmental, geographical, science, or engineering disciplines.
• Working towards chartered status with relevant professional bodies.
