Job summary

Hollis is seeking an experienced Flood Risk & Drainage Lead to grow and lead our flood risk, drainage and climate resilience services. You will work with Environmental, Project Management, Building Consultancy and ESG teams to deliver integrated consultancy solutions, advise clients, lead bidding efforts, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Hydrology or Geography.
• Chartered status or working towards ICE/CIWEM.
• Significant consultancy experience advising on flood risk and drainage.
• Strong knowledge of flood risk assessment, drainage design and climate adaptation.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and growth of Hollis' Flood Risk & Drainage service.
• Deliver flood risk assessments, appraisals and drainage strategies.
• Advise clients on flood risk, resilience and adaptation strategies.
• Support future climate resilience services and broader environmental offerings.
• Build client relationships and identify opportunities to grow the business.
• Collaborate across disciplines to provide integrated solutions.
• Lead project delivery with high technical and commercial standards.
• Prepare concise, client-focused reports.
• Support bids and proposals to secure new projects.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge sharing.
• Represent Hollis at industry events and client presentations.
• Promote best practice in flood risk and climate adaptation.

Education

Degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Geography or related

Chartered status or working towards ICE/CIWEM

Significant consultancy experience

Knowledge of flood risk assessment, climate resilience

Project management experience

Excellent communication skills

Understanding of legislation on flooding and drainage

Business development experience

Collaborative team player
