Matchtech client is seeking a Flood Resilience Manager to join the Spatial Planning and Climate Resilience team in Aylesbury. You will lead a team of 16 staff (including three direct reports) across flood resilience, drainage and flood risk activities, with hybrid working and two office days each week.

The role involves managing flood risk for highways and development, applying drainage modelling (InfoDrainage, MicroDrainage) and preparing reports for senior stakeholders.

Qualificações

• Experience leading a team within flood resilience or related field.
• Strong understanding of flood risk management and drainage.
• Ability to communicate technical information to senior/public sector stakeholders.
• Excellent report-writing and organisational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Manage, support and develop a team of 16 staff, including three direct reports
• Provide effective leadership across flood resilience, drainage and flood risk activities
• Support recruitment activity for two vacant posts within the team
• Oversee the assessment and management of flood risk associated with highways and wider development
• Apply knowledge of drainage design and modelling, including InfoDrainage and MicroDrainage
• Prepare reports, recommendations and technical information for senior stakeholders
• Present information to scrutiny committees and cabinet members where required
• Attend meetings and site visits, working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
