Job summary

Codi Group in Newport is seeking an Intensive Housing Support Worker to join the floating support team. You will assist individuals facing complex needs to sustain tenancy and improve wellbeing, coordinating with mental health, housing, and partner services.

The role requires compassionate, resilient individuals who can work in a dynamic multi-agency environment, supporting people to achieve personal goals while adapting to changing needs.

Qualifications

• Relevant work experience and knowledge of issues relating to vulnerable people is essential.
• Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations
• Experience supporting people with complex and multiple needs.
• Knowledge of housing, homelessness, mental health, and/or substance misuse issues.
• Strong communication and partnership-working skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multi-agency team.
• A compassionate, person-centred approach that promotes independence and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to individuals to sustain tenancy, improve wellbeing and access services.
• Coordinate support plans and work with partner organisations to deliver holistic support.
• Build positive relationships, advocate on behalf of service users, and empower lasting changes.
