Job summary

Citywide are seeking a Floating Primary Cook Supervisor based at Turnpike Depot who will work across Salford and the Greater Manchester area. You will cover for the Cook Supervisor during absences, ensuring a high standard of food presentation, hygiene and customer care.

Essential qualifications include NVQ2 in Catering or City and Guilds 706/2 and a current Basic Hygiene certificate; a valid UK driving licence is required.

Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only

About the role

This position is ideal for somebody wanted to progress in their catering career

Citywide are committed to improving the diet of young people in Salford. This post requires you to travel within the City and Greater Manchester area on a regular basis. You would be responsible for ensuring that a quality catering service is maintained whilst covering for the absence of the Cook Supervisor. Supervisory experience within a catering environment is essential, although you will be supported in this role by an Area Supervisor. A high standard of food presentation, hygiene, and excellent customer care skills is also essential Possession of NVQ 2 in Catering or City and Guilds 706/2 in Catering qualification and a current Basic Hygiene certificate is essential.

The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £12.38 per month (£10.25 per month from 5th October 2026).
