Job summary

QinetiQ Limited is seeking a Flight Test Engineer Instructor to deliver high quality instruction for aspiring flight test professionals at MOD Boscombe Down. The role blends ground and airborne teaching, mentoring, and course development to maintain world‑class training standards.

Eligible candidates will have broad flight test experience, the ability to teach on the ground and in the air, and a strong grasp of aircraft performance, systems, and data reporting.

Qualifications

• Graduate Flight Test Engineer from one of the UK MoD-recognised Test Pilot Schools or equivalent
• Engineering or Science degree with at least 3 years working as LFTE or equivalent
• Medically fit to gain a CAA Class 1 Medical

Responsibilities

• Delivering and developing long and short course ground instruction and some in-flight instructional delivery
• Assessing and grading student flying and technical reporting; mentoring and providing debriefing/feedback
• Contributing to course development and modernisation of ETPS syllabi
