Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Qualified Flying Instructor to support student pilots at RNAS Yeovilton, Somerset. You will deliver one-to-one instruction, conduct flying grading, and maintain detailed training records, all within a highly regulated aviation environment.

The role combines flying expertise with instructional duties, contributing to UK defence capability and offering a path for career growth within a world-leading aerospace and defence organisation.

Qualifications

• Previous military flying experience required.
• Aerobatic and formation flying experience preferred.
• Experience operating within a highly regulated aviation environment.
• Previous instructional experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one flying instruction and mentoring student pilots.
• Conduct flying grading and assessment activities per training standards.
• Complete end-of-course reports and maintain training records.
• Promote a strong military ethos and support student welfare and development.
• Maintain highest standards of flight safety, quality and professional communication.
