Job summary

Veolia in the United Kingdom is recruiting a Flexible Van Driver in Wolverhampton, offering part-time hours with weekend coverage and 5am starts. The role provides a steady income and the flexibility to balance other commitments.

You will support drivers by loading vehicles, operating vacuum tankers, and handling small quantities of hazardous waste. You will maintain daily worksheets, complete vehicle checks, and follow all traffic laws while ensuring load security.

Qualifications

• Cat B licence is required and prior driving experience is needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist drivers in loading vehicles and operating vacuum tankers to gain experience across our environment.
• Collect hazardous waste in small quantities (no ADR licence required).
• Ensure daily work is recorded on the worksheet and submitted with vehicle checks and receipts.
• Adhere to traffic laws and ensure security and weight of loads.

Salary: £13.15per hour plus option for overnight stays Veolia benefits

What you'll be doing;

• Assist drivers in loading vehicles and the operation of vacuum tankers, thus gaining experience in all areas of our operational environment.
• Collecting hazardous waste material (in limited quantities, so no ADR licence needed) waste in small packages.
• Ensure that each day all completed work is detailed on your daily worksheet and that they are handed in daily/weekly along with the daily vehicle check sheets, fuel receipts and Weighbridge tickets.
• Comply with all traffic laws and legislation with relation to your duties including the security and weight of loads.
