Job summary

Angard Recruitment is recruiting for Royal Mail to fill flexible (temporary) postal delivery driver roles across communities. You’ll be on the move, delivering letters and parcels from a Royal Mail van while serving customers with pride in the local area.

The role combines walking with driving, requires a full UK driving licence, and offers shifts across various times with pay rates from £13.69 to £16.44 per hour.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• As a Post Person with Driving, you’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine.
• You’ll drive round your delivery area, completing parts of your route on foot, providing exceptional service and ensuring every item reaches its destination safely.
• You’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items in line with Royal Mail business standards.
