Job summary

Eastbrook School is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils’ learning, wellbeing and inclusion. The role covers across the school, including classroom support, targeted interventions, and pastoral provision.

The successful candidate will work flexibly to meet pupils’ needs, including during playtimes and lunchtimes, with emphasis on safeguarding and a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children in a school setting.
• Ability to support learning, wellbeing, independence and social development.
• Willingness to support pupils with SEND and in ARP.
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and equality.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils individually, in small groups and in class settings.
• Deliver interventions and support programmes under teachers' direction.
• Use calm, consistent approaches to support behaviour and emotions.
• Assist with personal, intimate or medical needs when trained.
