East Midlands Councils is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated school team in the East Midlands. The role involves supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping them make progress, and contributing to a positive learning environment.

We are looking for someone who can build strong relationships with pupils and staff, stay calm under pressure, and work effectively as part of a team. Training and safeguarding responsibilities are part of the role.

• Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Responsabilités

• Support pupils with their learning and help them progress.
• Work with individuals and small groups under supervision of teaching staff.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs.
• Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage pupil confidence, independence and positive learning behaviors.
• Assist teachers with activities and resource preparation.
• Support reading, literacy, numeracy and other curriculum activities.
• Supervise pupils during lessons, breaks and activities.
• Support pupils' social and emotional development.
• Maintain records and communicate with teaching staff.
• Promote school values, expectations and behaviour standards.
• Maintain safeguarding procedures at all times.
