Job summary

Aspire People is seeking Teaching Assistants to join our schools in Scunthorpe on a flexible, part-time or full-time basis. You will support pupils across the full primary curriculum and may include 1-1 support depending on needs.

You will work with teachers to plan and deliver lessons, assist with materials, supervise breaks, and help create a safe, engaging learning environment while adapting activities for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role is essential within the UK.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy and a positive attitude.
• Flexibility to meet diverse student needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support to teachers, including lesson preparation and delivery.
• Work with individual students or small groups to provide targeted support and intervention.
• Help maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as preparing materials and managing classroom resources.
• Support students with special educational needs and adapt activities to meet their requirements.
• Supervise students during break times, outings, and other activities as needed.
• Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their development and well-being.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
