Job summary

Aspire People is seeking Teaching Assistants to join our partner schools in the Grantham (NG31) area on a flexible basis, supporting pupils across the full primary curriculum. The role involves day-to-day and long‑term placements with potential 1‑to‑1 support where needed.

You will assist with lesson delivery, work with individuals or small groups, supervise breaks, support SEN pupils, and collaborate with staff in meetings and professional development activities.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar educational support role in the UK.
  • Interest in working with children and helping them reach potential.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Desirable but not essential: Level 2/3 TA qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom support to teachers, including assisting with lesson preparation and delivery.
  • Work with individual students or small groups to provide targeted support and intervention.
  • Help maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as preparing materials and managing classroom resources.
  • Support students with special educational needs and adapt activities to meet their requirements.
  • Supervise students during break times, outings, and other activities as needed.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their development and well-being.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
