Job summary

The Supply Register, in partnership with a number of secondary schools and trusts across Sefton and Southport, is recruiting a Supply Teaching Assistant for flexible day-to-day cover. You will work across multiple sites, supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups and assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.

Experience with children or young people, and SEND support is valued. DBS on Update Service preferred; GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4+ recommended.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND (ASD, ADHD, SEMH) is desirable but not essential.
• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above preferred.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Provide additional support for pupils with SEND where required.
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
