Job summary

The Supply Register is partnering with secondary schools and trusts across Sefton and Southport to recruit Teaching Assistants on a supply basis, including day-to-day cover and longer-term opportunities. As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils 1:1 or in small groups, assist teachers with lessons and classroom management, and provide SEND support as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable but not essential.
• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
• GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) preferred.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through The Supply Register.

The Supply Register is proud to be working in partnership with a number of Secondary schools and trusts across the Sefton and Southport area, to recruit Teaching Assistants on a supply basis. This could include day to day cover, shorter term, longer term and even potential permanent opportunties.

The Role

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
• Provide additional support for pupils with SEND where required
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment

Experience

• Experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND (ASD, ADHD, SEMH) is desirable but not essential
• Newly qualified or aspiring Teaching Assistants are encouraged to apply

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential
• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above preferred
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through The Supply Register)
