Job summary

The Supply Register, in partnership with Our Trust Schools, is seeking a confident Cover Supervisor to support secondary students in Sefton & Southport. Flexible day-to-day cover, short-term and long-term placements within Trust schools are available.

You will supervise classes, deliver pre-prepared lessons, maintain positive behaviour and support learning, working closely with teaching staff to create a focused learning environment. CPD and consultant support are included.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people or in a school setting is desirable.
• Confident managing a classroom and maintaining positive behaviour.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Flexible, reliable and professional.
• Interest in education or a future teaching career.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher
• Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and ensuring students remain on task
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Supporting students with their learning during lessons
• Creating a positive and focused learning environment
• Working closely with teaching staff and the wider school team
