Job summary

AA Euro Healthcare is currently recruiting a Support Worker to join in Eastbourne on flexible agency shifts. You will provide person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities and related needs, enabling independence and participation in the community.

The role offers agency/temporary work with days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays available. DBS clearance and right-to-work in the UK are required, with weekly pay and ongoing recruitment support.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within health and social care is desirable but not essential.
• A compassionate and person-centred approach to support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is advantageous (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Delivering person-centred support that promotes independence and wellbeing.
• Assisting individuals with daily living activities and personal care where required.
• Supporting service users to participate in community activities, hobbies, and appointments.
• Encouraging choice, dignity, inclusion, and self-determination.
• Assisting with medication administration in line with service procedures.
• Maintaining accurate records and completing relevant documentation.
• Identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns appropriately.
• Building positive and professional relationships with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
