Job summary

AA Euro Healthcare is seeking Support Workers to join a leading national social care provider supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and complex support requirements across services in Eastbourne.

This role offers flexible agency work, allowing you to choose shifts that fit around your commitments while making a meaningful difference to people’s lives. Agency/Temporary position with ad hoc shifts and competitive pay of £12.71 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in health and social care is desirable but not essential.
• Compassionate and person-centred approach to support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service is advantageous (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support that promotes independence and wellbeing.
• Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal care where required.
• Support service users to participate in community activities, hobbies, and appointments.
• Encouraging choice, dignity, inclusion, and self-determination.
• Assisting with medication administration in line with service procedures.
• Maintaining accurate records and completing relevant documentation.
• Identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns appropriately.
• Building positive and professional relationships with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
