GSL Education are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our network as Flexible Supply Teacher in a primary school in Christchurch. Your role will be to deliver engaging lessons and provide support to students, ensuring their learning continues smoothly when their regular teacher is absent. You’ll have the chance to work with a variety of classes and make a positive impact every day. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to gain valuable experience in different school settings.

Key Functions of the Role:

• Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and guidelines.
• Create an engaging and supportive classroom environment that motivates students to participate and progress.
• Manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a safe and respectful atmosphere at all times.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the varying needs of Primary school students, including those with additional needs.
• Follow lesson plans provided or create impromptu lessons when required.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents during short- and medium-term assignments.

Criteria for the Position:

• A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, or equivalent).
• Experience teaching in schools, ideally across multiple subjects and key stages.
• Familiarity with the UK education system and curriculum.
• Strong classroom management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Willingness to work on a casual basis with availability to cover at short notice.
• A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring Primary school students to achieve their best.
• A current CV covering last 10 years with every gaps explained.
• An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one with GSL Education.
