Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking enthusiastic Early Years Practitioners to work on a flexible supply basis across nurseries, children's centres and early years settings in Walthamstow. Roles include full-time, part-time, term-time and year-round work to fit your availability and gain experience in diverse environments.

You will support 0–5 year olds under EYFS, help create a safe learning space, assist with daily routines and collaborate with staff and families.

Qualifications

• Experience in nursery/early years settings with EYFS knowledge.
• Paediatric First Aid certification desirable.
• Enhanced DBS via Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Current safeguarding certificate or willingness to complete training.
• Ability to work with SEND and daily routines.
• Experience using nursery systems such as Tapestry is beneficial.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

Protocol Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Practitioners to work on a flexible supply basis across a range of nurseries, children's centres and early years settings throughout Walthamstow.

Whether you are looking for full-time, part-time, term-time only, or year-round work, we can offer opportunities to fit around your availability while allowing you to gain experience in a variety of early years environments.

The Role

As a Supply Early Years Practitioner, you will:

• Support children aged 0–5 years in line with the EYFS framework
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
• Support children's learning, development, and wellbeing through play-based activities
• Assist with observations and daily nursery routines
• Work collaboratively with nursery staff and families
• Support children with SEND where required
• Provide personal care, including toileting and feeding where necessary

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, or equivalent (preferred)
• Previous experience working within a nursery, preschool, children's centre, or early years setting
• A good understanding of the EYFS framework
• Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable
• Paediatric First Aid certification is desirable but not essential
• Experience using nursery systems such as Tapestry is beneficial
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
• A current Safeguarding certificate or willingness to complete training
• The right to work in the UK
