Job summary

An established electronics manufacturer is seeking an experienced SMT Technician to join its production team. You will set up, operate and monitor SMT equipment, run lines to meet daily targets and perform changeovers and programs.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years on an SMT line, demonstrable experience with placement machines and strong attention to quality; IPC knowledge is advantageous. Working hours are Mon-Thu 07:30-16:30 and Fri 07:30-12:00.

Qualifications

Previous experience running an SMT production line (ideally 2+ years).
Experience operating SMT placement machines and associated equipment.
Able to read production documentation and follow work instructions.
High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality.
Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment is essential.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate and monitor SMT production equipment.
Run and maintain SMT production lines to achieve daily production targets.
Carry out changeovers, machine programming and product set-up.
Inspect assemblies and identify quality issues.
Complete routine maintenance and basic fault finding on SMT equipment.
Work closely with production, engineering and quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
Ensure all work is carried out in line with IPC quality standards.
