Job summary

Holt Engineering is seeking an experienced SMT Operator in Poole to join our electronics manufacturing team. You will operate Europlacer SMT equipment, load feeders, and run production programmes to ensure quality products.

The role includes machine changeovers, monitoring placement quality, and following precise technical instructions. This is a full-time position with 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, paying £15.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Recent experience operating Europlacer SMT equipment.
• Experience in SMT/electronics manufacturing environment.
• Experience setting up feeders and loading programmes.
• Experience carrying out SMT changeovers.
• Understanding of placement quality and quality control.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and production specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor SMT production equipment to place components accurately.
• Set up and load feeders and production programmes.
• Carry out SMT machine changeovers and verify placement quality.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced SMT Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Poole.

Responsibilities for the SMT Operator

You will be responsible for operating and monitoring SMT production equipment, ensuring components are placed accurately and products are manufactured to the required quality standards.

• Setting up and operating Europlacer SMT equipment
• Setting up and loading feeders
• Loading and running production programmes
• Carrying out SMT machine changeovers
• Monitoring placement quality throughout production
• Identifying and resolving basic production or machine issues
• Carrying out visual inspections and quality checks
• Working from production drawings, specifications and work instructions
• Ensuring production targets and quality standards are maintained
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Following company procedures and health & safety requirements
