Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking an experienced SMT Operator to join a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment located in Hemel Hempstead. You will support efficient operation on our assembly lines, handling machine setup, feeder loading, product changeovers, and quality checks to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Previous SMT Operator experience within an electronics manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating SMT production equipment and performing machine setups/changeovers.
• Understanding of electronic components and feeder loading processes.
• Ability to identify basic SMT defects and quality issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate SMT production equipment including screen printers, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens.
• Perform machine setups, product changeovers, and feeder loading in line with production schedules.
• Verify component locations, feeder setups, and machine readiness before production runs.
• Monitor machine performance and production output throughout the shift.
• Carry out first-off checks and routine quality inspections.
• Identify and report SMT defects, machine faults, or process issues.
• Complete production documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Adhere to company quality procedures, health and safety requirements, and work instructions.
• Support continuous improvement activities within the SMT department.
