Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking weekend caregivers to provide compassionate in‑home support and meaningful companionship. You’ll help with activities of daily living, mobility, meals, medications, and light housekeeping while ensuring safety and dignity in the client’s home.

We value reliability, a strong work ethic, and clear communication. Training and ongoing growth opportunities are provided, with emphasis on compassionate, client‑centered care.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Reliable, mature, and dependable.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks).
• Reliable transportation, valid insurance, and good driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and TB test (or obtain within 2 weeks).
• Previous home care or long‑term care experience preferred — not required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
• Helping with mobility and safe transfers.
• Meal preparation and nutritional support.
• Medication reminders.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Providing companionship and emotional support.
• Transportation to appointments, errands, and social activities.
• Supporting clients living with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
• Documenting care using AxisCare app.
• Following all safety and infection‑control policies.
