Job summary

Helping Hands is hiring a Care Assistant to support people living independently at home. You’ll provide companionship, assist with personal care, and help with daily tasks to keep clients safe and comfortable in the homes they love.

No prior care experience is needed; kindness, reliability and a genuine desire to help others are what we value. Training and ongoing support are provided, with flexible weekend and evening shifts available to fit your lifestyle.

Qualifications

• No care experience required; kindness and reliability are prioritized.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are preferred.
• Right to work in the UK is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, meaningful companionship to customers in their own homes.
• Support with personal care including washing, bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with mobility needs to keep customers safe and confident.
• Oversee and administer medication in line with care plans.
• Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands, from food shopping to collecting prescriptions.
• Offer calm, considerate support that helps customers feel truly cared for.
