Job summary

Assisting Hands St George is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide in-home care with dignity and respect. You’ll assist with personal care, mobility, meal prep, medication reminders, light housekeeping and companionship in clients' homes across the area.

We offer flexible hours, competitive pay, ongoing training, and a supportive team. Experience is welcome but training will be provided to those starting their caregiving journey.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Compassionate, dependable and patient.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks).
• Reliable transportation, valid insurance, and good driving record.
• Background check and TB test (or obtain within 2 weeks).

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
• Helping with mobility and safe transfers.
• Meal preparation and nutritional support.
• Medication reminders.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Providing companionship and emotional support.
• Transportation to appointments, errands, and social activities.
• Supporting clients living with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
• Documenting care using AxisCare app.
• Following all safety and infection-control policies.
