Job summary

Step Teachers is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to work across King's Lynn and surrounding areas. Provides one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND, assists teachers with differentiated activities, and helps implement education plans and behaviour strategies.

Ideal candidates have experience with autism/ADHD and strong communication. The role offers regular supply opportunities, safeguarding training via Norfolk Steps, and ongoing professional development with a supportive

Qualifications

• Patience and empathy in supporting SEND pupils
• Strong communication skills with pupils and staff
• Ability to build positive relationships across classrooms and schools
• Adaptability across different environments and duties
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare
• Willingness to undertake additional training and development

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND
• Assist teachers in delivering differentiated learning activities
• Help implement individual education plans and behaviour strategies
• Support pupils with personal care needs where required
• Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment
• Monitor and record pupil progress and communicate with staff
• Contribute to wider school life during longer-term placements
