Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking flexible and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis within our SEND Schools across Teesside. You will support pupils aged 2-19 who are autistic or have learning difficulties, providing 1:1 and small group support, and helping to implement EHCPs and behaviour strategies while working closely with class teachers and SEND teams.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional needs in school, care or youth work settings.
• A calm, patient and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• A Level 2/3 TA qualification is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils.
• Assisting with learning activities and adapting materials to meet pupil needs.
• Supporting children with their social and emotional development.
• Helping to implement Educational health care plans (EHCPs) and behaviour strategies.
• Working closely with class teachers and the wider SEND teams.
