Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking flexible SEND Learning Support Assistants to support primary pupils in the BS11 area, across 1:1, small groups or classrooms. You’ll help pupils feel confident, included and ready to learn, working with teachers and the SEND team to create a supportive environment.

You’ll gain experience supporting children with a range of additional needs, with opportunities for regular supply work or a few days per week. DBS checks and safeguarding training are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people
• Ideally SEND, education, care, youth work or similar experience
• All applicants require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role
• DBS check and Update Service are part of the safeguarding process

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for primary pupils with SEND
• Support small groups and classroom activities
• Help with learning, communication and emotional regulation
• Collaborate with teachers and SEND teams to create a positive environment
• Build strong relationships with pupils and support their engagement
