Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant to support schools in Wellingborough and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible supply work across local settings with a focus on pupils with SEN.

You will work with pupils with autism, SEMH, learning difficulties and other needs, providing 1:1 or small-group support, assisting learning, and helping with behaviour and EHCP strategies. A proactive, reliable and collaborative approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils.
• Confidence supporting behaviour and additional needs.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable and flexible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with additional needs
• Supporting learning and engagement both inside and outside of the classroom
• Helping pupils manage their behaviour and emotions
• Following individual support plans and EHCP strategies
• Supporting pupils with communication and social development
• Working closely with teachers and wider school staff
• Providing a calm, consistent and positive presence for pupils
