Job summary

Aspire People is seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with diverse needs across local schools in the King's Lynn area. The role focuses on fostering inclusive learning and helping students overcome barriers in classroom settings.

Successful candidates will have SEN experience and a calm, patient, and resilient approach. DBS clearance is preferred, and Training such as Team Teach or Makaton is a plus. Flexible work opportunities and ongoing professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• SEN experience in school, care, youth work, or similar.
• Calm, patient, and resilient approach.
• Desirable: Team Teach, Makaton, PECS training.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
• Support learning, communication, and emotional regulation.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Help implement behaviour and learning support plans.
• Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
• Create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
