Job summary

Academics, an established Education and Training Agency, is seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to cover temporary, ongoing supply across Sheffield. You will plan and deliver tailored lessons in specialist provisions.

The role involves working with teaching assistants and other professionals to support pupils' academic, social and emotional development while safeguarding and promoting independence. You will need QTS or equivalent, an Enhanced DBS, and prior SEN experience to start ASAP or on a

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Previous SEN teaching experience or strong knowledge of specialist education.
• Understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, SLD, PMLD and additional learning needs.
• Enhanced Child and Adult DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain both)

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver personalised lessons.
• Adapt learning to meet EHCP targets.
• Support pupils with a range of SEN including ASC, ADHD and SEMH.
• Promote positive behaviour and independence.
• Work collaboratively with support staff and therapists.
• Follow safeguarding procedures
