Job summary

Academics are recruiting a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work across a range of mainstream schools in Sheffield. You will provide personalised support to pupils with ADD, autism, SEMH or other needs, helping them access learning and build confidence in class settings.

The role is temporary with flexible ongoing supply, offering competitive daily rates (£92.56–£100 depending on experience) and an ASAP start. DBS check preferred or in progress.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN in mainstream settings.
• Proven ability to deliver 1:1 support and adapt to individual needs.
• Strong communication with teachers and staff.
• DBS check (enhanced) preferred or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with SEN.
• Adapt support to meet individual learning needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Work closely with teachers and wider school staff.
• Follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
