Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in the United Kingdom. You will support students with a range of special educational needs, helping them access learning and participate fully in the classroom.

You will work closely with the class teacher to implement individualized plans, adapt materials, and monitor progress, while building a nurturing and encouraging environment.

Qualifications

  • SEN experience preferred, but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy and a positive attitude toward supporting diverse learning needs.
  • Qualifications or training in SEN are desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, fostering their learning and development.
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting materials to accommodate various learning styles.
  • Create a nurturing and supportive atmosphere, promoting confidence and independence among students.
  • Collaborate with fellow staff members, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each student's progress.
Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children with SEN is preferred, but not essential. Passion and willingness to learn are valued!
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting diverse learning needs.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (desirable).
