Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic Secondary Supply Teachers to support learners across Key Stage 3 and 4 in Merthyr Tydfil and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible, ad hoc teaching placements for Year 7–9 and GCSE classes, with varied school environments and a supportive education-led consultant.

You will deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum, manage behaviour effectively, and adapt plans as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of teaching experience (NQTs considered).
• QTS or overseas equivalent required.
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council required; support available.

Responsibilities

• Lead classrooms and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Manage behaviour according to school policies to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Prepare classrooms, plan schemes of work when necessary, and conduct classroom and lab-based activities.
