Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a proactive Cover Teacher/Supervisor to support secondary education in Merthyr Tydfil. You will help manage classes, support pupils’ learning and wellbeing, and adapt to diverse subjects and age groups.

Cover Teacher/ Supervisor - Secondary Education - Merthyr Tydfil

An established provider is seeking motivated and dedicated Cover Teahcer/ Supervisors to join secondary schools across South Wales. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop or start a career in education, offering flexible, ad hoc, and long-term work opportunities within secondary schools in the region.

As a Cover Teacher/ Supervisor in Merthyr Tydfil, you will play a crucial part in supporting students’ learning and wellbeing. Your responsibilities will include supervising pupils in Years 7, 8, and 9, as well as GCSE students, ensuring a safe, engaging, and structured environment for learning. You will assist teachers with classroom management, behaviour support, and adapting to various subjects and age groups as needed. Promoting positive behaviour and pupils wellbeing will be central to your role, contributing to a nurturing and supportive school atmosphere.

Requirements as a Cover Teacher:

• Previous experience working with children or in the care sector, paid or voluntary
• A genuine interest in working with children and young people
• Willingness to undertake training and development

• Ability to provide a variety of support to pupils
