Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a proactive Cover Teacher/Supervisor to support secondary education in Merthyr Tydfil. You will help manage classes, support pupils’ learning and wellbeing, and adapt to diverse subjects and age groups.

Ideal candidates have experience with children or in care, a genuine interest in young people, and a willingness to train. This is flexible, ad hoc and long-term work across South Wales schools.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience with children or in care is preferred.
• Genuine interest in working with children and young people.
• Willingness to undertake training and development.
• Proactive, patient and understanding attitude.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils in Years 7–9 and GCSE students.
• Support teachers with classroom management and behaviour.
• Promote positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing.
• Adapt to various subjects and age groups as needed.
